City of Fort Smith Department of Solid Waste Services Residential Division is responsible for garbage, recycle, yard waste, and bulky waste collection from single family homes up to 4-plex. The residential division is responsible for collection of roughly 30,000 tons of garbage annually, and 2,400 tons of recycle and yard waste annually.
