Oak Cemetery

Oak Cemetery is recognized as a National Historic Landmark based on more than 152 years of documented history. The thirty-acre facility is the only publicly owned cemetery in the city of Fort Smith and is maintained by the City of Fort Smith’s Parks and Recreation Department.

Oak Cemetery Pricing

  • Grave Space: $850 per space

Oak Cemetery Columbarium Niches

  • Columbariums 1 & 2: $400 for all sections except for Section B, Niches 1-16 - $600
  • Columbarium 3: $400 for all sections except for Sections A & B, Niches 8-21 - $600

Niche Opening/Closing

  • Weekdays: $100
  • Weekends: $200

Opening/Closing

  • Regular Burials
    • Weekdays: $800
    • Weekends and Holidays: $900
  • Cremains
    • Weekdays: $100
    • Weekends & Holidays: $200
  • Entombment: $25 Recording Fee

Disinterment

  • Regular Burial: $1,000
  • Infant: $300
  • Disinurnment: $300

Scattering of Cremains

  • At Purchased Grave Space: $25
  • In Scattering Garden: $50
