Service Description

The Debris Bag Service provides a convenient solution for managing waste from home projects. Each bag holds up to 3,300 pounds of debris and has a capacity of 3 cubic yards (606 gallons).

This service is ideal for home cleanouts, junk removal, and at-home DIY renovations, offering a simple way to handle larger amounts of waste.

The Debris Bag Service is available to Fort Smith residents only and is not intended for contractor use.

How the Debris Bag Service Works.

1. Call Solid Waste Services at 479-784-2262 to request a debris bag. The cost is a flat $200 fee.
2. A City employee will deliver the debris bag directly to your residence.
3. Fill the bag with accepted materials, up to 3,300 pounds. There is no time limit. You can fill the bag at your own pace.
4. When the bag is full, call 479-784-2262 to schedule collection.

How to Set Up Your Debris Bag

1. Choose a Level Surface: Place the bag on a flat, stable surface to ensure safe and proper use.
2. Position Near the Curb: Set the bag close to the curb so it is easily accessible for pickup.
3. Allow Clearance Space: Keep at least 3 feet of clear space on all sides of the bag.
