The Housing Assistance Board was established by the Board of Directors April 6, 1976, to review applications and approve grants and loans to owners of housing units in the City to repair and rehabilitate private residential structures. Grants and loans are available through the Community Development Block Grant Program. The Board consists of seven persons serving two-year terms. The Board of Directors make the appointments from names submitted to them by various citizens, community groups, etc. The Board meets on call monthly. The meetings are held at various locations.
