The River Valley Communications Center (RVCC) is Sebastian County's consolidated 911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), serving as the vital link between our community and emergency services. Operating 24/7/365, our highly trained 911 telecommunicators are the first, first responders—answering every call for help with professionalism, compassion, and precision.
Who We Serve
RVCC provides emergency dispatch services for all of Sebastian County, including the cities of Fort Smith, Greenwood, Barling, Bonanza, Central City, Hackett, Hartford, Huntington, Lavaca, Mansfield, and Midland, as well as all unincorporated areas of the county. Our telecommunicators coordinate responses for:
- Law Enforcement – Fort Smith Police Department, Sebastian County Sheriff's Department, and all other municipal police departments
- Fire Services – Municipal fire departments and rural fire districts throughout Sebastian County
- Emergency Medical Services – EMS providers across the region
- Other Public Safety Agencies – Supporting all emergency response needs in our community
