The Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program is a U.S. government initiative that facilitates the sale of defense equipment, services, and training to partner nations. Managed by the U.S. Department of Defense, the FMS program enhances global security partnerships while supporting American defense and aerospace industries. 

In Fort Smith, the FMS project centers around the production and maintenance of military aircraft and equipment by Lockheed Martin at the Ebbing Air National Guard Base, which has been selected as the future site for a new FMS mission. This includes a training program for international pilots and personnel, bringing a unique and strategic military presence to our community.
