Sebastian County Solid Waste Management Contact   Joe Hopper Phone: 784.2329 Fax: 646.2255 Email: Send Email Download Application   The purpose of the District is the protection of the public health and the state's environmental quality through the development and maintenance of a solid waste district for Sebastian County and the municipalities of Barling, Bonanza, Central City, Fort Smith, Greenwood, Hackett, Hartford, Huntington, Mansfield, Midland, and Lavaca. Further, the District shall serve to address local agencies, needs and other requirements as are more clearly defined in Act 752 of 1991. City appointments are by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the Board of Directors, for three-year terms. One city appointment shall consist of a representative of Fort Chaffee. County appointments are by the County Judge subject to confirmation of the Quorum Court. Meetings are quarterly on call. Members: 9 Terms: 3 YEARS Meetings: QUARTERLY
