Animal Services Advisory Board Contact   Wendy Beshears (479) 784-2201 Download Application Important: When including your application please include a paragraph stating why you would like to be a member of this board.   The Animal Services Advisory Board (nine members) shall work in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and the Board of Directors in regards to topics that concern the care and safety of animals within the corporate limits of the city, and shall endeavor to stimulate and encourage communication with all members of the community to ensure that the programs, goals and objectives of the city relative to the care and safety of animals are consistent with community needs and desires. However, the animal services advisory board will not be responsible for the day to day operations of the Animal Control Division of the Fort Smith Police Department.
